ARTRA MEETING 21.01.19 page #2

Mark Thomas (TDC) has been emailed to see if Athelstan Road can have a bulky waste day, possibly using the yellow sticker to indicate items to be picked up. Barry also mentioned here that speaking to environmental health is a strong and effective way to tackle this problem.

Matt Shoul mentioned about the collapsed drain at 32 -34 Athelstan Road and that the basement flat has had to deal with raw sewage, and raised the question why has Environmental Health not helped the residents in this situation. Barry Lewis remarked that he would look into this on our behalf. It was also remarked that the workmen try ing to fix this problem were starting very early in the morning and that this was disturbing, especially on the weekend.

Other News An arrest made last week due to noise pollution coming from a car, and the man in question was over the limit for alcohol and that because his keys were in the ignition of the vehicle, it was an illegal offence. Remarks were made here that some of the residents have been using their cars etc as living spaces, possibly due to living conditions of their flats etc. Barry suggested that we get the local PCSOs number to help get a quicker response to problems like this. It was also mentioned another method would be to use the police website to get in touch with them.
